About me

I  hold a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Counselling Foundation (St Alban's), and also a post-qualification Diploma in School and Adolescent Counselling from the Metanoia Institute. I have undertaken additional training in areas like trauma, anxiety, depression, bereavement, addiction and eating disorders. I also had a training placement in a men’s prison, where I worked with clients struggling with addiction and criminal behaviours. I have had extensive training and experience in online and telephone counselling, as well as in working face to face in the therapy room.

I am an accredited member of the BACP

& my registration number is 383628.

My background is in languages and literary studies with emphasis on psychoanalytical theory. I have always been really interested in understanding people’s behaviour and their interactions with each other, and I have a passion for stories of all kinds. However, what I love even more is to help people. While psychoanalytical theory is a great tool for understanding literary texts, it is even better at doing what it was designed to do in the first place, and that is helping people understand themselves better.

In practice, my background and training enable me to really listen to your story, empathically and without judgment. I can support you in thinking symbolically and to see connections between things that might, on surface, appear unrelated.

In short, to help you listen to yourself and understand your inner voice.
